Spring Clean Your Beauty Routine


AD | Hello my lovelies, happy Monday! The blossoms are out, and the baby birds are chirping and Mother Nature is turning over a new leaf so it’s about time we all followed suit. Spring cleaning is upon us - and if you're anything like me you'll be in your element). For me, this means reorganising our whole home, including my beauty routine.





| Decide What To Keep | Just because you’ve had your favourite hairbrush or blusher brush forever doesn’t mean you should hang on to it if you don't use it anymore. Sure, it’s been trustworthy and reliable, but it’s also beginning to damage your strands because it’s ratty and frayed. 

| Organise Your Makeup | Having a massive makeup collection hardly does a girl any good if she can’t ever find something when she needs it. Beautify your vanity. Prettify the place where you make yourself pretty. By decorating your vanity or bathroom counter, you’ll be more inclined to keep it clean. 

| Get Clear Skin | The most important item to get clean during spring cleaning is your face. Throw out any products that haven’t been working for you, and use only the cleanser and moisturiser that bring out the best in your skin. I highly recommend trying Revolution Beauty's Blemish and Pore Refining Serum with 10% Niacinamide and + 1% Zinc* as it's done wonders for my skin.

    I have been thinking about at least reorganizing my makeup for a while. I was going to do it yesterday and put it off so maybe today's the day. You're totally right, I need to sit down and decide what I'm still using versus what I'm simply Holding Onto You for the sake of maybe.

    Fab post! I love a good clear out! I'm a huge 'spark joy' kinda gal.

    I recently decorated my room and was having a bath and new units in the bathroom but with this COVID19 its all had to be postponed until later this year so making out surroundings clear is so important! There's no better time than in isolation am I right?

    This is definitely something I still need to tackle in my spring cleaning checklist - I KNOW that there are some things stored away in my makeup drawers that could be purged... Maybe I'll tackle this one today!

    These are great tips! I try to clean out my beauty collection at least twice a year to make sure I'm not hoarding too many expired products or stuff I'm not using now but I'm so bad at keeping hold of my old favourite hairbrush that needs replacing and that kind of thing x

    Now I'm at home it's the perfect time to do a beauty clear out, makeup included. I've been doing the same skincare routine for the past two years so perhaps it is time to change it up and indulge in new products - that serum does actually look quite good (although intense with all the ingredients!)

    This is something I need to do more regular. I am such a bad hoarder of products, you will always find half empty bottles of stuff! Definitely the perfect time to do it now.

    I definitely used this time to clean my wardrobe and makeup collection!
