Spring is one of my favourite times of the whole year, it's bright and beautiful again, and I always get excited to shop for and change my everyday make up routine around. Since I have bright blue eyes I usually tend to stay away from pinks when it comes to eye make up but after getting an email asking me to join the #GlossierPink Pinterest Board from Samantha at Glossier, well... I was over joyed!
If you've never heard of Glossier, you may have heard of "Into The Gloss". ITG was created by Emily Weiss in her apartment with a notebook, a computer, and a passion for beauty. Armed with a camera, she set out to interview the models, make up artists, and strong women she admired about the products they use and why.
The blog quickly gained a worldwide following and Emily quit her day job. Today, Into The Gloss is a super successful resource and creative think-tank with a loyal, influential readership - and a team that’s developed a sixth sense for what’s relevant (and what works) when it comes to beauty.
Glossier have now tried every product under the sun, interviewed many of their icons, and peeked inside hundreds of coveted beauty cabinets.
Well now, Glossier are a building a modern beauty brand inspired by real life. They're creating new essentials informed by you, by our friends, by high-low culture (fashion, art, the Internet), and that celebrate what it means to be a girl today. They believe that beauty should be fun, easy, imperfect, and personal. Above all, they believe that you give life to products – products don’t breathe life into you.
Glossier loves all things link and since Pantone's Colour of the Year is beloved Glossier pink, they're put together an exclusive Pinterest board to feature some posts from their Glossier Girls, which they have asked me to put together a make up look and take part in this. This is what I came up with..
Avon Ideal Flawless Invisible Coverage Foundation (shade light pink)
The Body Shop Baked-To-Last Blush and Highlight (shade petal)
Barry M Clear Mascara & Eye Brow Definer (discontinued)
I know it's rather a natural look, but I love my pink lips and rosy cheeks! What's your skin make up look this year? Send the link to me if you have a blog post on it, or a YouTube video. I'd love them see them. Don't forget to give Glossier's Twitter Page a follow. Thank you all for reading this blog post, I hope you all have a wonderful day!
