My Mum Does My Makeup! | FOTD

Sunday's for me are all about relaxing and preparing for the week ahead so I usually don't bother with makeup for the day, but I was bored at my parents house and agreed for my mother to give me a mini-makeup to try out a new makeup look. So I've made this really small blog post to share the look with you all...

Brown Sugar Cinnoman Lip Scrub | DIY

The winter months are is full swing and I don't know about anyone else but I get such dry, peeling, uncool lips in the colder months so I wanted to share with you, my favourite homemade lip scrub which I swear by during these months.

If you don't use a lip scrub already, I highly recommend doing so as it's a brilliant way to remove to impurities on your lips; flaky, dead, chapped and/or dry skin. Plus using a lip scrub minimises the dark spots on your lips, and keeps them looking and feeling healthier for longer.  Adding a lip scrub into your daily facial routine will really benefit them.

Anyway, on to the do-it-yourself...

Chasing Coral

Think of the very well-known Disney movie Finding Nemo, or think of another Disney movie, The Little Mermaid... how colourful and bright everything was. How scary is it knowing that all of it is dying? We have lost 80-90% of Coral in Florida alone since the 1970's, and that to me is terrifying. Chasing Coral* is a 2017 Netflix Original documentary made by the awesome American filmmaker Jeff Orlowski and I wanted to make this blog post to explain to everyone why it's so important to take the time to watch it.

Why I Stopped Chemotherapy & Chose Cannabis

Something which a lot of people (even close friends) don't know about me is that my health has been that bad when I was growing up that I've been taken a daily chemotherapy tablet since I was fourteen years old - that's for over fifteen years! I've never spoken about it much on my social media accounts or on my blog before but there were times growing up where my health got so bad that I could have died. So what made me give up my daily chemotherapy, and ditch all of my treatment?

Making Your Garden Cosy in Winter Time | Guest Post

As the days get shorter and the nights get longer we find ourselves spending more and more time in our homes, sheltered away from the cold outside. This is a shame really, as autumn and winter are arguably the prettiest of seasons. Delicately decorating our lawns with bright white frost and turning our trees from dark green to warm orange, this time of year brings with it cosy, romantic, special evenings. However, if we barricade ourselves inside then we sadly miss what these fantastic seasons have to offer. Well, we are here to show you that this doesn’t have to the case anymore, with these great tips you can make your garden as cosy as your living room and stay warm throughout autumn and winter. We are going to show you how the right Indian fire bowl and garden decor can turn your dark garden into a warm winter wonderland.

29 Things In 29 Years!

I've seen loads of blog posts where bloggers talk about their wishes and plans for the next stage of their lives; aka  "20 Things I Wanna Do Before I'm 20" or "30 Things I Wanna Do Before I'm 30" but I don't want to look ahead and plan too much so since I turned 29 at the end of last month, I thought I would share with you a little something different - 29 Things I've Done in 29 Years!

Could you survive on charity shop clothes for a year? | Guest Post

"When I found a jumper for 20p in a charity shop, it turned out to be my all-time favourite piece of clothing and it got me thinking; could I commit to a full year of only buying myself clothes from charity shops? I've been slowly transitioning to a less disposal mindset when it comes to clothes and I'm finally ready to wave goodbye to the high-street, eBay and vintage shops. So, can it really be done? Can I find everything I need in charity shops, regardless of things I'm invited to, such as weddings? I don't know the answer yet, but it's going to be fun finding out and you're invited along for the journey.  In my wildest dreams I hope I'll find something so fabulous that I get the chance to ask, "What, this old thing?", when asked where I got it from." - Amy

Benecos Translucent Powder | Review

A couple of weeks ago, amongst a bunch of bloggers mail delivery, I received the Benecos Natural Translucent Powder* and was truly thrilled. I've been after a translucent powder for such a long time but couldn't find one I liked in my price range so when I opened a package and this dropped out, I'm not ashamed to admit I let out a small squeal.

Are You Okay?

Mental health is still a huge taboo in our society and many people are afraid to speak out about their own mental health problems for the fear of being judged. For that reason, card company Thortful* has collaborated with fashion designer Gary James McQueen, the nephew of the late Alexander, to create a collection of exclusive cards to act as ‘moments of intervention’ to increase communication around mental health.

My Goals for 2018!

I can safely say that 2017 was definitely NOT my year, so much shit happened and I have never been so glad to see a year done and gone. However, on a positive note, I survived everything that was thrown at me last year and I am so thankful to everyone who stuck by me and helped me through it as without you (you know who you are) I wouldn't be here. Don't get me wrong my life is still far from perfect, but I'm happy with what I have and working hard to get where I want to be. Since it is January the 1st, and I've seen a couple of these blog posts going around, I wanted to share with you some of my own goals for this year.
