My absolute beautiful friend Kiah, who if you don't know already you should check out because she is amazing, did this blog post a while ago and it gave me the idea to do one for myself, so thanks babe for posting it and giving me the idea! I don't like to say I have a plan in life, I have goals and I work hard to achieve them but I also believe that you have to put the effort in and what is meant to be will happen. So instead of calling this "my five-year plan", I've decided to name it "My Five Year Goals"
Six Months to One Year
| Make Our New Home A Home | If you're one of my regular readers then you'll know that I recently moved home and since we're buying our home and never plan to ever move again I am so excited to set everything up properly and make our house a home.
| Go on Honeymoon | If you follow me on my twitter account then you'll know already but if not, my husband and I are finally having our honeymoon after being married for over three years. We were planning to go to Llandudno in June but have had to sadly cancel it due to some personal family reasons - we're hoping to go after the summer now instead. I would really love to hear any recommendations for Llandudno; things to do, places to eat, etc.
| Celebrate My 30th Birthday | I really can't believe I'm turning thirty years old this July, I still feel twenty-one! I haven't exactly decided full details of what I want to do for my birthday yet but I'm hoping that it is going to be a fabulous birthday and one I will remember in years to come.
| Rescue Another Animal | I really want to add another animal member to our family, because of Daisy's anxiety we can't get another dog or a cat or bird etc, but I would maybe like to adopt some fish or maybe a hamster or two. If anyone can recommend me some tips on how to introduce new animals to pets who have anxiety I would be so grateful?
| Double My Following Count | This is a little "big headed" I know but I would really like to double my following count on Twitter within a year. I know it won't happen but I can still wish, hope and dream right?
Two Years to Three Years
| Pay Off Our Wedding Loan | I'm unsure if I've mentioned this on my blog before but when Phil and I planned to get married our wedding was all set to take place in August 2016 but my grandfather took ill and we had to move our wedding forward so we were married within ten weeks and since we didn't have enough savings at the time we decided to take out both take out a loan each from the bank. Phil's £2,000 loan has been paid off but my £10,000 loan we are still paying off. At the moment we only have under £3,000 to go with it so I'm hoping that it will be all paid-off and we can be dept free. Thankfully taking out our loans were all worth it and my grandfather is on the mend and doing well.
| Take A Holiday | I already know that I want to take a holiday within a few years as it took us three years to be able to have our honeymoon that I really wouldn't like to wait this long for another holiday. There are so many amazing places that I would like to visit and explore too so I'm hoping we can have another holiday in a few years.
| Buy A New Car | Our car is a silver Vauxhall Corsa and although a lot of people make fun of us for having it, we love it, it's our little baby and it's never let us down. However, I would love to have a new car in a couple of years which has a bigger boot on it because with "Betsy" we can't fit in my wheelchair and our shopping bags so whenever we go shopping it always ends up on the back seat of the car and we can't fit anyone else in it. A new car with a bigger boot would be really helpful.
Four Years to Five Years
| Own A Motorhome | I would really adore owning a small motorhome so that Phil and I can just pack it up for a weekend and go travelling. So many of my happiest childhood memories from when I was a little girl were spent on some holiday park in my grandparents' caravan in Wales. I would really love to own a motorhome so I could do that again and travel around more of the UK and maybe even into Europe.
| Start Our Adoption Process | If you've followed me for a while you'll know already that my husband and I lost our little girl a few years back on Christmas day whilst I was 17 weeks pregnant. Due to health problems, we have decided that it would be safer for myself and a baby if we don't have a baby "naturally" and adopt a toddler or child instead. We don't see adoption as the child not being ours, he or she will be our child no matter how they were conceived or where they came from, we just want to make a child's life happy and filled with love.
What are your big goals for the next five years?
With love, Alisha Valerie. x

DeleteGosh, you've been through a lot the past couple of years it seems. I'm happy for you that your Grandad is doing okay now, but I bet that was a scare! I love having a five year 'open plan' or goals as you call yours. Something that you want to aim for, but not really constraining yourself to do all at once. Good luck with them honey!
