It's Kind of a Funny Story Movie | Review

Directed by Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden this movie is about sixteen-year-old Craig Gilner (played by Atypical's Keir Gilchrist) checks himself into a mental-health clinic as he is stressed by adolescence. Unfortunately, the youth wing is closed, so he must spend his mandated five-day stay with adults. One of them, Bobby (played by The Hangover's Zach Galifianakis), quickly becomes his mentor and protege, while Craig finds himself drawn to a fellow teen, Noelle (played by 'Wild Child' Emma Roberts), who just may be the cure he needs to forget an unrequited crush.

I watched this movie a few weeks ago with my husband. I felt pretty low after a really crappy day and my anxiety and stress levels where massive. I know I seem positive, motivated and happy a lot of the time, and I am, whenever my anxiety and depression hits me I feel so, so low. This movie made me feel so much better and by the end of it, I was back to my normal positive self. I would highly recommend this movie to anyone who is feeling stressed, low, upset or unmotivated about themselves. I personally feel like this is the perfect Sunday evening movie!

With love, Alisha Valerie. x
