My 18th Birthday | #TBT

Hello beautiful's! Since I'm turning 28 years young in a couple of months, July 31st to be exact, I thought I would do a Throw Back Thursday blog post to nearly ten years ago at my 18th birthday party. There are a couple of pictures which were taken a couple of weeks before my birthday when I was only 17 years old but I will explain them ones as well...

First picture of me above is me at my 18th birthday party. My birthday was held at a local pub called "The Royal Oaks" where I live in their function room with all my family and friends, we had such a good time. The pub is where I had my communion and although it's got a very close place in my heart it has sadly been taken over by someone else and it's gone very downhill.

This second picture is our family group shot; my parents, my not-so-little-anymore brother and myself. As you can tell back then I was pretty much into getting a spray tan every week and having blonde in my hair. Actually, I did really like having the blonde in my hair but it really ruined my hair and my hair ended up looking and feeling like straw - it took me years to get it back into a good state again. If you haven't read my "Meet My..." blog posts yet then I'll leave these links here:

This picture is of me and some of the girls: L-R My cousin Edel, my cousin Leah, our friend Stacey and msyself. You can see my wearing my pink glittered slip on shoes in this picture as my feet were aching from dancing in my heels all night. Tip for you all: bring a pair of fold away shoes in your handbags when going on a night out, your feet will thank you for it so much the next day. You can pick up some really pretty cheap ones from places like SuperDrug and Boots these days too.

L-R: Myself, my cousin Jon and my cousin Leah. It's so funny looking back at how much we have all changed since then, I know it was 10 years ago nearly but we all look so young and now looking at pictures of us we look so old! I love this picture because I actually have another picture of when Jon was about two years ago and Leah and me were one years old and we are in our prams in the same exact position as this picture with the same smiley faces.

My tanned legs. I love a good tan in the spring and summer time, it makes me feel like I've been on holiday in the sunshine somewhere and who doesn't love a good tan anyway? I've recently received a Moo Goo Skincare tanning lotion to try this year and I can't wait for the weather to be sunny and warm when the sunshine stops hiding away so I can try it out with some nice shorts and pretty dresses. I don't see the point in using it now as I'll end up hiding my body away in warmer clothes as it's still so cold where I live.

My cousin Leah and myself went out a couple of weeks before my 18th birthday so I was actually 17 years old and Leah was 16 years old on this picture. We went to our cousin Chris' 18th birthday party and had such a good night catching up with family and old friends we hadn't seen in years and years. It was a great night.

This picture is of my henna tattoo I had done. I really wanted this tattoo and my dad said that he will pay for it if I had a henna tattoo done first to see if I still wanted it months down the line. I am so thankful now that he made me have that henna done because I would so not want the playboy bunny on my back now! The henna tattoo lasted nearly seven months and although because of my medication I'm no longer ever aloud to have a tattoo I adore the fact that I didn't have the tattoo ever done.

Lastly, this is a picture of Sassy and myself. I miss my Sassy so, so much every single day. I love her so much still and although we have our little Princess Daisy now, we could never replace Sassy. She helped me through so much in my life; the good times and the bad time and I will have no clue at all what I would have done without her. RIP Sassy. <3

I hope you all enjoyed this little "Throw Back Thursday" blog post, it's not something I've ever done before so thought I would give it a go. Let me know if it's something you like and I'll do some more; maybe my 21st birthday party, hen night or Phil and my wedding day? I hope you all have  really wonderful day. <3

With love, Alisha Valerie. x
