June Favourites | 2016

Hello beautiful's, I'm currently sat on my bed watching an episode of In The Club whilst Daisy is throwing her toy to play with me and I'm wondering if I should just stop writing this blog post and do it another day. I know I shouldn't stop writing really because I just haven't actually blogged properly in weeks... for some reason, I've not really been wanting to and just can't find time to sit down properly and write with so many going on. I think I may have lost my blogging mojo a little.

Since June is now over and July is starting I'm hoping that all of that is going to change as I have so many exciting things happening this month; including the Liverpool Period Project Event with Samantha and My Birthday at the end of the month. But as it's the now the 1st of July, here's what I've been loving in June...

Tanya Burr Cosmetics Galaxy Eye Palette

I'll be 100% honest here as always on my blog. I'm not a fan of Tanya Burr. No reason why really, I have just never sat and watched one of her YouTube video's or anything so I didn't even know she has a makeup range coming out at all. Of course, I know who she is and I'm sure she's a really lovely person and is a beautiful lady, but I have never really taken the time to watch her. I was out shopping at Superdrug a couple of weeks ago with Phil and I the pretty packaging caught my eye - it's a beautiful teal mermaid-like colour. I love the colours too, really natural for a day time look and a glittered black for an evening look - perfect! I've been wearing this on my eyes loads lately and it's just beautiful, plus it's cruelty-free!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink In Moisture Over-Night Sleep Mask

I'm a massive fan of The Body Shop anyway and rave about their products so much on social media everyone is probably so bored of it already but I had to include this in my monthly favourites as it's so good! I've been using this quite a lot recently and I've noticed such a massive difference in my skin. It says to use it between one and two times a week on the tub but I've been using it every other night and it's been doing wonders for my skin. My skin's been soft, hydrated, clear and spot free! Everyone really needs to give this stuff a go!

Wentworth

It is back! And it's been amazing! Before anyone says anything.. I know it's not out in the UK yet - I download the latest episodes to watch. If you don't know what Wentworth is, it's an amazing Australian drama series. The series serves as a contemporary re-imagining of Prisoner, which ran on Network Ten from 1979 to 1986. Lara Radulovich and David Hannam developed Wentworth from Reg Watson's original concept. The series is set in the modern-day and begins with Bea Smith (Danielle Cormack)'s early days in prison up to where she becomes 'Top-Dog'.

In The Club

I mentioned it at the beginning of this blog post but OMG how good is "In The Club"? I'm not going to spoiler anything don't worry, and it makes me sad that this episode I'm currently watching is last in series of season two. If you haven't checked it out yet and are a fan of things like "One Born Every Minute" or "Teen Mom" then you really must do so because it's so good yet so funny too! Unlike the other two programmes mentioned "In The Club" is a drama on BBC 1 and really is so, so good!

Bullet Journal

I've really been getting into doing my bullet journal every day - it's really kept me in check and kept me up to date on what I am doing and what not. I would really recommend doing this as it's been wonderful for me. I got this notebook from WH Smith years and years ago, for about £6 I think, and it was tucked away in a draw in my desk for ages with no use for it - until now! Bullet Journal's are becoming such a big thing so I gave it a go and haven't looked back. I love it!

Life is Strange CD Soundtrack

Everyone knows how much I love this game, I even done #a full blog post review on it#. If you haven't played the game you really need to because it really is so good! The soundtrack is also amazing and when I spotted it when out shopping I just had to buy it. I love everything about this game.

I hope you all enjoyed my monthly favourites this month, if you have tried or own any of these products let me know what is your opinion on them? Also, if you would like a full review on a certain product let me know and I shall get that up too?

I hope you all have a wonderful day!

With love,
Alisha Valerie. x

  1. I got the Tanya Burr Hollywood Palette and found the matte shades were lovely but the shimmery shades had huge chunks of glitter in and barely any pigmentation :(
