What's in My Makeup Bag? | Spring 2019

Hello my lovelies! I feel like I haven't done a beauty based blog post in such a long time so I thought I would share with you this week what products I have been loving using makeup-wise lately and give you a little sneak peek inside my makeup bag.

| NYX Cosmetics HD Photogenic Concealer Wand * | Priced at an amazing price of only £6, this concealer has been my favourite for a long while now and a product that I have been falling in love with more and more every time I use it. I have such pale Snow White like sensitive skin so I am always very wary about using face products but thankfully this one is a Godsend. I use this concealer under my eyes to hid the dark circles and on the sides of my nose to hide my redness.

| The Body Shop Baked-to-Last Brush & Highlighter * | Sadly this little beauty product has been discontinued, but I thankfully sent it before it wasn't available anymore. If you can get your hands on this then I advise you to totally jump at the chance as it's a wonderful product! I love the colour of the blush for my cheeks and I use the highlighter on my eyes as well as other parts of my face.

| Barry M Cosmetics Illuminating Strobe Cream Highlighter * | Priced at £4.49, this is one of my favourite highlighters ever - it's such a great high-end quality product for a cheap price! If you've followed me for a while then you'll already know I am a massive fan of Barry M Cosmeticsand always love what products they bring out. I would recommend this product for festival goers this year as it works really well on the body as well as the face, plus it's small and will easily fit inside your handbag or clutch bag without taking up too much room.

| W7 Naked The Nudes Eye Shadow Palette * | Priced at just £5.95, I think this is such an underrated eye shadow palette! The shades in this palette are such wonderful natural looking colour shades. I really don't know what to say to recommend this palette to you all other than if you haven't tried it yet then please do so because you won't regret it!

| Barry M Cosmetics "That's How I Roll" Waterproof Mascara * | Priced at £4.99 this mascara is one of my all-time favourites to use. I think it's perfect for the spring and summer months as it lasts all day without topping up and still looks so fresh, it doesn't clunk together and it's so easy to remove unlike most waterproof mascara's I've found.

| Burts Bees Tinted 'Hibiscus' Lip Balm * | Priced at just £5.99 and available on Amazon, this is my favourite product in my makeup bag and I am always using it. I do use it sometimes before my lipgloss for extra moisturiser and take it with me a lot during the day when I'm out and about. It's not sticky, not slimy and doesn't dry my lips out - I love it so much!

| Soap and Glory Sexy MotherPucker 'The Berry Thing' Lip GlossPriced at £9.00, I received this lip gloss as part of a set I got for Christmas from my husband and fell in love with it instantly - the bright colour is perfect for my skin tone without making me look like a sex worker. This lip gloss does give off a little tingle sensation when applied but that fades after a couple of minutes.

| Spectrum Brushes * | I also use these two makeup brushes when doing my makeup, you may be able to tell that I don't need to wear foundation right now thankfully as my skin is doing so well but I use my Tapered Finishing Brush* which is priced at £7.99 for my blusher and highlighter, and I use my Fluffy Pencil Brush* priced at £4.99 for my eye shadow, I only use one brush for my eye shadow as I feel that works best for me.

What do you think of the products that I have been wearing lately? Are any of these products your favourites that you reach for when doing your makeup? I'd love to know your thoughts so please leave me a comment below letting me know them.

With love, Alisha Valerie. x

  39. Howdy!

I'm new to the make-up scene and was wondering, and hope this isn't too much off of topic, but how could a person carry a makeup brush without staining a makeup bag...? I cannot figure if I should be wrapping the brush in a napkin or daily clean my brush....?

    Thanks in advance!
