The Secret by Rhonda Bryne | Book Review

"You're now in your hands a great secret - it has been passed down through the ages, highly coveted, hidden, lost, stolen, and bought for vast sums of money. This centuries-old Secret has been understood by some of the most prominent people in history: Plato, Galileo, Beethoven, Edison, Carnegie, Einstein- along with other inventors, theologians, scientists, and great thinkers. Now The Secret is being revealed to the world."

- About The Secret -

Once known only by an elite who were unwilling to share their knowledge of the power, 'the secret' of obtaining anything you desire is now revealed by prominent physicists, authors and philosophers as being based in the universal Law of Attraction. And the good news is that anyone can access its power to bring themselves health, wealth and happiness. Fragments of The Secret have been found in oral traditions, literature, religions and philosophies throughout the centuries. A number of the exceptional people who discovered its power went on to become regarded as the greatest human beings who ever lived. Among them: Plato, Leonardo, Galileo and Einstein. Now 'the secret' is being shared with the world. Beautiful in its simplicity, and mind-dazzling in its ability to really work, The Secret reveals the mystery of the hidden potential within us all. By unifying leading-edge scientific thought with ancient wisdom and spirituality, the riveting, practical knowledge will lead readers to a greater understanding of how they can be the masters of their own lives.

"As you learn The Secret, you will come to know how you can have, be, or do anything you want. You will come to know who you really are. You will come to know the true magnificence that awaits you in life." - taken from the Introduction.

- About The Author -

Rhonda began her journey with The Secret movie, now viewed by millions across the planet. She followed with The Secret book, a global bestseller, available in fifty languages and with over twenty-five million copies in print worldwide. The Secret has remained on the New York Times bestseller list for over two-hundred weeks and counting and was named by USA Today as one of the top twenty bestselling books of the past fifteen years. She continued her groundbreaking work with The Power in 2010 and The Magic in 2012, which have also been New York Times bestsellers.

- My Thoughts -

You may remember waaay back in 2016 I posted about this book as apart of my Book of The Month series. I was introduced to this book around about five or six years ago now and I fell in love with it right aware. I've read this book time and time again whenever I need a bit of inspiration or whenever something isn't going quite right in my life and I need a bit of positivity put back in it. One of the best things I feel about this book is what it's small so it can fit in pretty much any one of my handbags that I own so I can carry it about. I know The Secret won't be everyone's best read but I personally really adore this book and would highly recommend it to everyone!

  1. Great review - I liked how you included how this book has helped you personally and your enthusiasm for it comes across so well. I've heard a lot about the law of attraction but had no idea there was an entire book based on it and how others have also experienced it! Thanks for bringing this one to my attention, will have to add it to the list.

  4. I've never read this book before but, although it wouldn't usually be my cup of tea, I'm really intrigued by it! I'm self employed and pushing towards success, so books that reveal everything (or give an idea/positive thoughts on how to get there) are really interesting me at the moment. I love your review of it, too; the fact that it's a repeated read of yours means it's definitely one to add to my list.
