Hanx Condoms | Review

Hanx* is a little box of happiness condoms, made with women in mind, they're ultra-thin, clean scented and best of all, vegan. For too long, women buying and carrying condoms have been seen as sleazy and easy, we've carried the shame and put up with unfair judgements that are stopping them from taking charge of our sex lives. Well not anymore!

Things Need To Change. Hanx is empowering women to take control of their sexual health, like all other aspects of their lives, and feel proud to do so. Not only do they want their condoms to feel luxurious and discreet, it’s their vision to help the world understand that it’s our right as women to take charge of our sex lives. And if you’re wondering about the slogan, ‘That’s How I Like It’, not only does it celebrate the strong, fearless and ambitious women who know what they want, it also illustrates that sex is different for everyone, every time.

Why They Made It. Hanx's* story all began when co-founders, Farah Kabir and Sarah Welsh spotted a gap in the market for discreet contraceptives. Farah, working in investment banking, realised that the combination of garish packaging and being located next to pregnancy kits was an off-putting factor for many women. Add to this the fact that women are often stigmatized and seen as promiscuous for carrying condoms. So, imagine buying condoms on your lunch break, and being seen by your boss who’s behind you in the queue. The horror! It was this experience that got these childhood friends talking. Sarah, who is a medical doctor with experience in gynaecology and sexual health, noted how absurd it is that in this day and age buying and carrying condoms as a woman is still taboo. Farah and Sarah then created Hanx, a new stylish and luxurious pack of condoms that women are proud to be seen with and carry.

Meet the world’s only luxurious condom designed by women for women. Hanx* condoms have already been featured in articles with Mail Online, Business Insider, Marie Claire, Glamour Magazine and Guardian to name a few. Their condoms have been designed to empower women, which is why they are available in female-intuitive places like yoga studios, beauty salons, and lingerie shops. However, if it’s convenience you're after they recommend signing up for their subscription service to get condoms delivered to your door. 1. Good on you for being so open and honest about a subject that is so taboo for a lot of people! It's definitely important to have candid conversations about sex and in particular safe sex to show people that there's nothing dirty or immoral about it, it's a fact of life! These luxurious condoms designed by women sound fantastic, I definitely need to try them out!

  11. I still don't understand the stigma of safe sex and why its sleazy to carry around condoms for girls. I'd rather see a girl being safe than not.

  12. What a great idea for those who want to be more discreet! Personally I just smile and put the finger up at people if they judge me when I'm buying them. The stigma with women and sex is crazy. We all have it, so I own it. Cute packaging and a great idea!
