Perfect Summer Cocktails

Summer is right around the corner and what better way to celebrate than a good ole' fashioned bbq party? I plan on having one for my birthday in July! So what better way to cool down in the summertime than quick, simple and cheap home-made cocktails!

Mix up your drinks repertoire this summer with these summer cocktails that are a doddle to make. Tip: for the shaken ones, simply use a clean jam jar with a lid.

Apple & Elderflower Cooler
Shake 50ml (2fl oz) each of gin and cloudy apple juice and 15ml (1/2fl oz) elderflower cordial with ice. Strain into a tumblr over more ice.

Rose Martini
Shake 50ml (2lf oz) vodka, 35ml (1/2fl oz) rose water and 25ml (1lf oz) lime juice with ice. Strain into a chilled Martini glass.

Summer Punch
In a jug, mix ice, seven raspberries, one sliced lemon, one sliced lime, and 1/4 sliced cucumber. Pour in a bottle of rose wine and top with sparkling water. [This is my personal favourite!]

Sgroppino
To make this Italian classic, put a scoop of lemon sorbet into a tumbler then top up with sparkling wine; finish with mint leaves and lemon zest.

How simple, quick and easy are these? I can't wait to make them for family and friends over the summer. Please remember drinking under the age of 18 is illegal, and please drink safely. I hope you all have a wonderful time making these and if you do try any, let me know what you think?

With love, Alisha Valerie. x
