Hello May | 2018

May is here, Spring is in full swing, I'm back blogging full time and April is finally over. Did anyone else feel like April went on forever? Because it really felt that way for me! So much happened in April for me, both good and bad, and I cannot wait to tell you all about it...

The beginning of April was horrible. After the events of what happened in March my whole family was coming to terms with news from the hospital and again my Nan was rushed back in - thankfully she is doing okay again now and is on the mend. Phil and I also felt like we were constantly hitting a brick wall, not with each other but with a big life-changing event in our life that we have now finally come to terms with. There is going to be a blog post going up next week explaining all of this so keep your eyes peeled for that!

The middle of April was a little scary. I have never spoken about this on my blog before but two years ago I found a small lump in my right boob, after having it checked by a nurse at my local GP she told me that there was nothing to worry about and it was normal. However, the past few months my boob has been really hurting me as it feels really heavy (my boobs are heavy anyway as I'm a size 36GG but my right boob seems to feel so much heavier), it pains me to wear a bra for more than two or so hours and I keep getting shooting pains in it. So, I made an appointment with my hospital and went to talk to someone about it, they have told me to get back in touch with my GP and tell them this time that I want to talk to a doctor about it. I'm hoping that it's going to turn out to be nothing to worry about but I'd rather have it checked then worry and never know.

Thankfully April ended on the highest of highs. I finally feel like life is coming together and I don't need to stress out about whats coming next as much. I said at the beginning of the year that I was going to make this year one of the best I've ever had and I finally feel like I've been able to do that. I want to say a massive thank you to the people who took the time to view/read my blog and everyone who supported me in April as I really found it difficult juggling my blogging and general life so having so much support really helped me get through the month, it meant so much to me and I adore each and every one of you for it.

- April Goals Look Back -
I sadly haven't spend as much time as I'd of liked to with the people closest to me last month but I did cherish every single moment I did have with them, even if it was brief. The sunshine didn't appear as much as I'd of liked it to do so but I'm hoping that will soon change and the sun will appear more so I can spend more time in it. I did start watching Narcos but really didn't enjoy it sadly. However, I've managed to start watching 24 and Jane The Virgin which I've been enjoying and also I've been able to catch up on The Walking Dead season seven.

- MAY GOALS -

1. Get Back To Blogging Full-Time. I pretty much took the whole of April off away from blogging, reasons for this will be in a blog post soon but I'm so happy that I'm back blogging full time again and cannot wait to catch up with everyone.

2. Have At Least Two Movie Nights with My Dad. I used to have movie nights with my dad all of the time and haven't done so for ages now so this month I want to spend as much time with him and my other family members as I can making memories with them all.

3. Go Back To Meal Prepping. I used to do meal prepping when I was doing Slimming World and loved it. I don't plan on meal prepping to lose weight but I'm hoping I can figure out a way to meal prep to save some money.

How was April for you? Do you have anything exciting happening in May? What are your goals this month? I'd really love to know so send me a tweet or leave a comment below and tell me. Wishing you all so much love, luck and happiness in May.

With love, Alisha Valerie. x

  4. I am so proud of you for turning your April around, Alisha! It doesn't sound like you had the best start to the month at all, but I'm so glad to hear that everything is looking up now! Your goals for May are extremely positive, more family time can only be a good thing and I hope you're able to enjoy lots of movie nights with your dad! I definitely need to get on the meal prep game as well, it's always so handy to come home knowing that dinner is already sorted!

  5. Sorry to hear about your stresses you've faced in April, Alisha. Even the best years ever won't be amazing 100% of the time so here's to a much brighter May and I hope everything goes okay with your doctors appointments and it turns out to be nothing.

  17. I hope you get everything sorted with your breast. I've had stomach pains and 2 years later the doctors still don't know what it is so I know exactly how you're feeling right now. I hope May is a better month for you x
