Hello beautiful's! Since doing "My Morning Routine" blog post, a lot of people have requested to find out what I use for My Evening Facial Routine and as from the title you can obviously see that's what my blog post is going to be today.
I do use a lot of evening facial products due to the fact that I suffered for a really long time with trying to get a good facial routine without breakouts or unwanted marks or spots and this one really does seem to help me a lot. I was lucky enough to be sent some of the products mentioned below for free by brands and PR companies, if I mention a product I was sent this will be stated with a * mark.
I've also been requested to do "My Evening Routine" so I will be getting around to doing that soon, but just now here's "My Winter Evening Facial Routine".
Makeup Remover: I've been loving the Elizabeth Arden All-Cone Eye and Lip Make-up Remover lately, as not only does it not try my skin out too much but it takes all my make up off in one wipe.
First Cleanse: I do two cleanses of a night time as I get very dry achne-prone skin and I like to make sure that my skin is all clean after a long day of wearing make up. I wash off any of the day's dirt and sweat away by cleansing my face. I love the Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water* to do this. You can read a review on this product by clicking here. After cleansing I dab my face with a cotton wool pad dry.
Face Mask: My face mask changes from day-to-day but my favourites are by Lush. Whilst my face mask is setting, I'll have a lovely relaxing bubble bath.
Face Scrub: I love love love the Garnier Pure Active Intensive Charcoal Scrub* of an evening. The formula combines Salicylic Acid and a new star ingredient: Charcoal, known for its ultra-absorbing properties. It acts as a 'dirt magnet' to effectively help eliminate impurities and excess sebum. This foaming scrub contains exfoliating micro-beads to deeply cleanse, remove impurities and help fight spots and marks. It helps protect against the appearance of blackheads and excess sebum. Result: skin looks clearer and purified.
First Serum: I like to use a wash off serum for my first serum of my evening routine so I use Neutrogena's Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Facial Wash whilst I'm in the bath . Serum to me is the most important product of my night time pamper routine. Serums containing hyaluronic acid like Pestle and Mortar’s Pure Hyaluronic Serum contain an incredible amount of anti-aging and moisturising benefits including reducing fine lines, dullness and dehydration while restoring a healthy glow, plumpness and radiance. I love serum's of a morning and of an evening.
Second Cleanse: Once I'm out of the bath it's time for my second cleanse of the evening with Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water* of course! I can't explain how much I love this stuff. If you don't like Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water* you could always use Bioderma's Sensibio H2O Make-up Removing Micelle Solution.
Skin Refiner: Skin Refiner is so important to me as I've noticed it really does help my skin a lot. If I miss this step or forget about it my skin just doesn't feel the same. I got the Teoxane Cosmeceuticals Perfect Skin Refiner Night Cream in one of my subscription boxes a couple of months ago and have been using it ever since.
Toner: I've been loving the Garnier "Goodbye Dry..." Softening Toner*. A non-alcoholic toner is best and all you need is a cotton-pads worth! Swipe around your face, focusing on any problem areas which you may have. My problem area's are my t-zone and my cheeks.
Face Misting Spray: I love every one by The Body Shop so I always use one of theirs. If you have dry or achne-prone skin like me you'll know how crappy it can feel after a long day of wearing make up. Using a face misting spray will immediately puts some moisture back in your skin and make you feel great.
Second Serum: The second serum is by Lancome Paris* and its their Advanced Genifique serum. I was lucky enough to be sent this by Lancome Paris and it's such an amazing product. It's pricey for the money but I would recommend it so much as I love it.
Moisturise: Moisturising your skin will help you look and feel younger, provide softer, more elastic skin, keep your skin hydrated – the list goes on! Just like the serum above, I was sent the Absolue Precious Cells by Lancome Paris*. This moisturiser really is the best moisturiser that I have ever used.
Lip Scrub: I have been loving Lush's Santa's Lip Scrub since buying it back in November. I adore it as it smells and taste's incredible and I love how un-dry it makes my lips.
Eye Cream: The under eye area is the thinnest part of your skin, so it’s desperate for the moisture found in a great eye cream. Don’t forget this important step! I having been loving The Body Shop's Pomegranate Firming and Refreshing Eye Roll-on.
I hope you all enjoyed reading this blog post. If you would like to see a review on any of the products mentioned above please let me know either by commenting below or by tweeting me.
With love, Alisha Valerie. x
I've never used a face serum but I've heard a lot about them and I know it's something I want to try. I just always get worried about trying new skincare products because some of them really break me out. The Garnier Charcoal scrub sounds so interesting, I don't think I've seen it on the shelves here yet!

Serums are so good. I find that they really pull my whole facial routine together, and make my skin super soft! I would highly recommend getting one <3
DeleteGreat post! I'm definitely going to give some of these products a try. I also double cleanse in the evening but I use a cleansing oil first. I use Superfacialist by Una Brennan Vitamin C Cleansing Oil, it's amazing stuff! Xx
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check that stuff out. I'm pretty sure I've already got some in one of my facial drawers! Let me know what you think of the others if you check any of them out? I'd love to hear your thoughts. <3
