Hello November | 2018

Even though October is my favourite month of the whole year I am so happy that it's other with and it's finally November, I feel like October went on forever. It was a hard month.

The beginning of October was really hard. For the first time in about five years, I had a massive rheumatoid arthritis flare up and could hardly walk, sit, sleep, eat or pretty much do anything at all. My husband had to do so many simple things for me a lot of the time: dress me, wash me, feed me, etc it was horrible losing my small bit of independence that I do have being a spoonie.

The middle of October got a lot better. I had a wonderful hospital appointment which went well and I managed to get a steroid injection which has really helped with my pain. As I was pain-free (ish) we were able to change our living room around which made me so happy as I've been wanting to do it and get it the way I want to since we moved into our new home over six months ago.

I ended October feeling ### and ready for November to start. October has ended on a high for me and if you usually read my hello monthly blog posts you'll know already that I haven't had that in a long while. I am so excited for November and all of the plans which are happening this month, after being so unwell and unhealthy these past few months I think I have a lot of time to make up for.

- FAVOURITES OF MONTH -

| Superdrug Fruity Cherry & Almond Shower Gel | This is one of my favourite shower gels to use in the Autumn time, it makes my skin feel so soft and smells fantastic. Plus how can you go wrong for only 99p?

| Superdrug Sugar & Spice Self-Healing Face Mask | Priced at the amazing price of only 99p this amazing self-healing face mask has really been helping my skin loads - it's positively brimming with all thing nice! Relax and embrace the rich and comforting Cinnamon and Vanilla aroma, while the gentle warming sensation helps to open pores and cleanse away impurities. Enriched with Mediterranean Clay and Caramel, this mask will brighten your complexion and leave your skin silky soft and smooth to touch. I highly recommend checking this face mask out as it's one of the best I have ever tried, ever.

Reiki Energy Charged Raw Amethyst Crystal Pendant Necklace | Priced at £8.99 on Amazon the Amethyst crystal is known as "The All-Purpose Stone." This stone is available in various hues and shades of light violet colour to lilac to vibrant purple. It resonates with Crown Chakra (Sahasrara), as well as Third Eye Chakra (Ajna), which opens up the gateway to divine consciousness and higher intuition. It also provides clarity when there's confusion in the mind, and helps to relieve stress and anxiety - which I have found it's really been helping with personally. The Amethyst crystal can even help with cell regeneration, insomnia, mood swings, and immunity. It is also known as the "Traveler’s Stone," providing extra protection while you're out on the road, exploring new places.

| Ghost Adventures S17Just in case you have never watched this show, it's all about following paranormal investigator Zak Bagans who leads his team of co-investigators to haunted locations both in America and around the rest of the world, interviewing locals about alleged hauntings before going face to face with supernatural entities themselves. Each hour-long episode follows Nick and his team as they work to uncover the paranormal mysteries, and after piecing together the haunted history of each site, the team holds a dusk-to-dawn 'lockdown' in an effort to obtain physical evidence of the paranormal and discover the truth.

| Iron Fist S2 | If you don't know already Iron Fist is an American TV series which is based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name, and follows Danny Rand / Iron Fist who is a martial arts expert with the ability to call upon the power of the "Iron Fist". I'm not gonna give any spoilers away but I will say from what I have watched so far, this season is so much better than the first season!

| ButterflyI have been loving this programme and I am so happy that ITV decided to make it and speak out about what it is really like for families who are going through these things. If you don't know already, Butterfly is about eleven years old Max, who identifies as a girl and wants to live her life as Maxine, the drama also focuses on her parents played by Anna Friel and Emmett J Scanlan who struggle with her decision and try to find the best way to support this huge life decision. The acting from Callum Booth-Ford who plays Max/Maxine is incredible for such a young actor.

- GOALS OF MONTH -

| Get Our Living Room Finished | Since moving into our new forever home just over six months ago the first room we tackled was the kitchen, so for this months goal I would like to tackle our living room and get it all done for Christmas time. I cannot wait to sort it all out, have it wallpapered and share it with everyone - it's gonna look so shabby chic and beautiful!

| AutumSlow Cooker Meals | When my husband and I got married nearly four years ago, as one of our wedding presents we were given a slow cooker by a family member. Now, although we do use it quite a lot we seem to just make the same meals over and over again in it, so a goal for this month is to come up with and master some new Autumn based meals to cook in our slow cooker.

How was your October, what were your favourites? Do you have any plans for November? Let me know by leaving me a comment below, hope everyone has a really wonderful month!

With love, Alisha Valerie. x

  12. October started really positive for me but my energy just dwindled halfway through. Although it ended on a high because my boyfriend and I went to see Bohemian Rhapsody. November hasn't started particularly well... hope that changes soon!
