Hello December | 2019

AD | Hello my lovelies, happy December! I cannot believe that this is gonna be the last "hello monthly" post I am going to be sharing for this year, just wow. This year came around and has gone so quickly, so much has happened and I am so happy with how life is right now and what has been happening in my life, things are doing so well. Here is what I have been up to last month...

The beginning of November was really good. We decided to get our livingroom freshened up with some paint in return for Christmas time, we were sent some paint from B&Q Stores* to do so and I highly recommend buying your paint from here if you are looking to do your home up a little bit for Christmas or the New Year.

I also actually decided to start going back to Slimming World, if you have followed me for a long while then you'll already know about my Slimming World journey and how much it had helped me in the past, I'd given it a lot of thought now for over a month or so and I decided to take the step to go back to weekly group appointments. I don't want to lose weight as I am happy right my weight, but I want to manage my weight a little better and to keep myself healthy and motivated. However, I'm not able to do so as apparently you can't join SW to manage your weight, you have to lose at least 7lb to join which makes me super sad as I thought that SW would be really supportive no matter what your body size.

If you watched my Instagram highlights then you'll already know that during the middle of November, I had a hospital appointment with my rheumatoid arthritis professor as I was starting to feel in a lot of pain, so he agreed that I needed a steroid injection to get me over these colder winter months that we are having in the UK right now. I wanted to share this because although I am in remission with my ulcerative colitis due to coming off daily chemotherapy and switching to cannabis, sometimes I do need that little bit of a boost when it comes to my bones and the joints in my body.

You may have also seen on my Instagram that my beautiful little princess Daisy was taken into the vets as she had a little fight with a hedgehog in our garden and was bitten on her paw - I didn't even know hedgehogs could bite! Thankfully though both Daisy and the hedgehog are okay, the hedgehog wasn't even hurt, but Daisy was put on tablets and is finally getting better. I wanted to include this in my monthly update for two reasons: one) thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to all of the lovely people who have taken the time to send me such wonderful messages asking how Daisy is doing, and two) to make everyone who has a furry family member aware to keep an eye on their animals at all times when they're outdoors so your pets don't get bitten too.

I ended November feeling really festive and excited for Christmas right now and I'm really looking forward to celebrating it at home with my husband, my best friend and my family.

I want to end this post by saying a massive thank you to everyone, new and old who have checked out my website this year, it means so much to me and all of your views and comments add up and fill my heart with joy - I adore each and every one of you for supporting my website and myself. I'm wishing everyone such a wonderful festive time over this next month and into the new year ahead, stay safe, have fun, make memories and take a lot of pictures! I'm sending you all so much of my love and joy.

With love, Alisha Valerie. x

  22. Thats a real shame that you can't join slimming world.

I can't believe that this year is coming to a close though, it doesn't seem possible.

And I honestly had no idea that a hedgehog could bite! Hope little Daisy is ok now x
