Eight Things That Change Your Life in One Year

AD | Hello my lovelies, happy Friday! Starting a new year is the perfect time to revamp your life and your thoughts. Do you ever think about the future? Do you want to change your life by this time next year? I wanted to share with you my top eight things that you can do daily to change your life in just one year.

| Stop Complaining and Appreciate How Lucky You Are Everyday | I know that there are so many times where people talk about The Secret, the Law of Attraction, and if you think happy then you'll be happy but a lot of the time, it is so true. I've spoken so many times in the past about how much of a big believer I am in the Law of Attraction, and I truly believe that if you think happy and always look for the positive things in the day, then you will put out happiness and positive vibes into the universe and then will magnify and return to you in great ways. Yeah, you may have the shittest day sometimes, but look for the good in that day and focus on that instead of the bad.

| Fail But Learn From Every Mistake That You Make | Know that it's okay to fail, failing is actually a great thing because it means you tried and learnt from something, just make sure that you try again over and over until you don't fail anymore. Learn as much as possible and try never to make the same mistakes.

| Set Realistic Goals | Now, we'd all like to set goals that by the end of this year we'd like to win the lottery and have a million pounds (unless you are really lucky and take part in the lottery every week I really doubt that is gonna happen), or that you'll want to complete every single thing on your bucket list and by the end of 2020 find your perfect man, get married, buy a house, have a family, etc. Let's face it, for most of us, unless you bump into a prince coming out of your local corner shop that is not gonna happen. You need to set small realistic goals like drink a glass of water every day, meditate twice a week, or go for a walk once a week, you need to do things for you and you alone.

| Embrace Loneliness | Everyone feels lonely. It's okay to sometimes feel lonely and to feel like you're the only one in the world who feels the way you're feeling. Take some time, have a self-care day, fall back in love with yourself if it takes an hour, a day, a week, etc. Don't let your loneliness consume your whole life, work on yourself, have a pamper, write down how you're feeling, just do something to make yourself feel happy again.

| Turn Off The TV and Internet | Imagine a world without TV or internet, how quiet and peaceful it would be. How wonderful it would be to be in a queue or stand at a bus stop and actually talk to the people there, what it would be like to enjoy life for what it is and look up from your phone? Sounds scary right? A world without your mobile? Well, that used to be the world. We need more of that back. Now, I'm not staying totally cut out technology completely from your life, but make a little goal for yourself that if you're out and about, or with family or friends, don't go on your phone. Instead spend time with them and enjoy their company.

| Fall In Love With Yourself | It took me a really long time to fall in love with myself, and then fall back in love with myself and my body once I had lost my baby girl, but even know sometimes it really felt like it was never going to happen, it did. After what felt like forever, I fell back in love with myself and my body and it really helped me find my confidence again. Buy some sexy underwear, and wear it for you no-one else, buy that bikini you have your eye on and wear it no matter what your size or body shape. Buy the new mascara, lipstick, eye shadow, anything, fall in love with you.

| Take Up Meditating or Yoga | I know I've said this so many times, but meditation has changed my life, and I cannot recommend it enough. So many people find it hard to meditate or do yoga but I advise you all not to give up on it and to try guided meditation instead, it is basically meditation with someone talking you through it. It's amazing. Michael Sealey on YouTube in my favourite ever, I highly recommend checking it out.

| Say Goodbye To The People That Don't Bring Positive Energy Into Your Life | This was a big one for me, and it took me a really long time to realise and accept that I don't need to be someones verbal punching bag because I don't need someone who emotionally abuses me in my life.

With love, Alisha Valerie. x
