Dry Shampoo Advice

As you all probably know by now due to the number of times I've had it dyed and styled, I'm a lover of my hair. I'm one of them people that don't care about my makeup being done or leaving the house in jarmies, as long as my hair is done I am happy. But being a spoonie it's hard sometimes to find the energy to both shower and wash my hair, which is why I can't recommend investing in a dry shampoo more!

If you haven't read my Taking Care of You blog post then you won't know that I adore dry shampoo so much because it really has been a life-saver for me over and over again. I thought I would share with you some advice about dry skin and an awesome website that review it.

You all know how much I love Superdrug's own brand as personally they are my favourite formulas for dry shampoo - they’re cruelty-free, vegan and have amazing fragrances! But, if you’re struggling to find the right dry shampoo for your hair type and of course wanting to find one of good value, you can take a look at this guide from Reviews.com* for some pointers. A team of researchers at Reviews.com* did a blog post to figure out which dry shampoo formulas rise above the rest. Their top pick is Klorane Dry Shampoo With Oat Milk which is also vegan and cruelty-free.

Reviews.com* has used their resources to include some helpful application advice and tips so you can find your best formula. Or, if you're more into do-it-yourself, click here you could make your own at home with all-natural ingredients.

Do you use a brand dry shampoo or do you prefer to make your own? What are your favourite brands to use? I'd love to know your thoughts so please let your favourites in a comment below.

With love, Alisha Valerie. x

  2. I am in love with dry shampoo! I use Batiste, as well! I have naturally oily hair and can't go more than a day without washing before it looks gross, so dry shampoo is a must!

  4. I always hear such good things about Batiste dry shampoo but I have just never got along with it, it always makes my hair feel gross! It sounds like I definitely need to check out Superdrug’s own brand range though, the fact that they’re CF and vegan friendly makes me very happy indeed!

  7. I don’t tend to use dry shampoo because I’m worried it’d show on my black hair but I wish I could because I know how much easier it would be to use every other day!

  10. I've never tried Superdrugs own brand dry shampoo. I tend to use Batiste, purely because I can get it when I'm doing my weekly shop.
I'll have to check out the site to make sure I'm using the right one for my hair type though!
