Hello October | 2018

How are we already in October this year? It feels like Christmas 2017 was only yesterday! September has been a hard long month and my little bit of light at the end of the dark tunnel I was in for months dimmed out and it still felt like I was in there, even now, my mental health has been affected quite badly last month too but I have decided that I'm going to be brave and share what's been happening with everyone.

September was a really hard month for me, the heartbreaking thought of never being able to see my Nan again set in and I finally plucked up the courage to visit her grave for the first time. My Nan's and my beautiful cat Mitzi was sadly put down as she had cancer and numerous tumours in her body, and as well as dealing with all of this, my husband Phil and I went through our own heartbreak. My mental health took a bad downward spiral and for a while there I couldn't see how I was going to be able to get on with my life in general. I didn't exactly want to end my own life but there were times when if someone would have held a gun to my head I wouldn't have exactly begged for my life either, it was a hard month.

Thankfully towards the end of the month, I have started to see a little better and see a light in my deep dark tunnel. I've thrown myself back into blogging and taking care of our home, we have only lived here for six months so we feel like our home is starting to come together properly and we are making big plans for it. Life is starting to feel like things are going to be okay again - for now.

Goals For October

Blogging: I want to make a goal to myself that when things are bad in life, instead of running away from blogging and social media encase I get judged, to actually share everything as things aren't always wonderful in everyone's life all of the time and things can get bad and dark sometimes. I need to remind myself of that.

Bake: I really want to spend some time baking this month and making some yummy vegan treats.

Horror Movies: Since it's October I want to watch as many horror movies as possible, maybe even one a day! Does anyone know if there is a thing (like a list or such) to watch a horror or spooky movie every day for October? If not, there should be.

How was your September? What are your plans and goals for October?
Leave me a comment below and let me know...

With love, Alisha Valerie. x
