Meals of The Week | August 2019

Hello my lovelies! You may remember ages and ages ago I posted a post back in February sharing my meals of the week, and since it went down so well and tons of my readers have asked me to do another one, I thought that's what I would share with you all this week.

| MONDAY - Cottage Pie | Monday's are always so busy in our home as we are getting into the swing of starting a new week so we always make something tasty and filling so this is a typical favourite of ours. We always cook our vegan mince with carrots, garden and onions in it and of course topped with mashed potato and then have sides of green beans.

| TUESDAY - Spaghetti Bolognese | Tuesday's are another busy day for us so we always like to make something simple that we can put in the slow cooker to cook all day.  I like to make my own bolognese sauce with two tins of chopped tomatoes, tons of spice and herbs, fresh garlic, mixed peppers, mixed onions and always sided with a side of homemade garlic bread.

| WEDNESDAY - Sweet and Sour Chicken | Wednesday's are usually a day that my Dad comes for tea so I always like to make something that he enjoys: either burgers or sweet and sour chicken. Our homemade vegan sweet and sour chick'n is packed with tons of mixed peppers, onions, mushrooms and a side of boiled rice.

| THURSDAY - Summer Barley Soup | Growing up I always loved my Nan's homemade barley soup, so when I moved out of my parents' house and got my own place my Nan taught me how to make it. This is one of my favourite things to eat, ever.

| FRIDAY - Chinese Chicken Curry | Our starter is always some vegan spring rolls, homemade vegan chick'n curry packed with tons of mixed peppers, onions, mushrooms and a side of boiled rice. The curry sauce I use is a powdered makeway sauce, I don't add anything to it from our spice rack as I think it's already so flavoured. Being a massive Chinese food and curry lover this is one of my favourite meals to make and is a total self-care meal for me.

| SATURDAY - Vegan Steak | I always like to do some vegan black peppered and chilli steaks with mixed peppers, mushrooms and onions, baby sweetcorn and jersey royal potatoes. It's one of my main go-to meals in the summertime.

| SUNDAY - Roast Beef Dinner | I was brought up having a Sunday dinner every week, so when I moved into my own home I of course, started doing a roast dinner every week and as it's something that I really look forward to. We have our 'beef' dinner with sides of homemade roasted potatoes, homemade stuffing, sprouts, carrots and gravy.
