My Top Eight Habits To Be Happy

AD | Hello my lovelies, happy Friday, I hope you're all having a really wonderful start to your weekend! If you've followed me for a while then you'll probably know by now that I try and stay a positive and motivated person a lot of the time, so I thought I would share my top eight habits I do that keeps me a happy person.

| Happy People Practice Self-Care | I have spoken to many times about how you need to practice self-care and self-love as it's so important for your own mental health. Whatever it is you love doing that keeps you calm, do more of it: meditation, yoga, reading, running, drawing or painting, crafting, cooking or baking, even cleaning if that's what calms you - do more of it. If you give yourself the same care and attention that you give to the people you love, you'll really watch yourself bloom.

| Happy People Have A Routine | Having a routine in your day or week is a wonderful thing to keep you positive and motivated. Changing your routine for the better is okay. You'll never change your life until you change something in your daily routine, the secret of your success is found in your daily routine. Make sure that you balance out any chores you need to do with any hobbies or things that make you happy too so you won't always feel like you're doing chores as your mind will focus on the good things more and not the bad.

| Happy People Have An Open-Mind | I am very open-minded, I always want one hundred per-cent of the facts before I decide on anything, and I never judge anyone for their views or beliefs. I am always curious, always asking questions and always want to know more and learn more. Open-minded people embrace being wrong, we are free of illusions, don't mind what people think of us because we know the truth.

| Happy People Are Kind | I know I am a kind person, it's actually one of my favourite things about myself. I always try and help out anyone I can as much as possible. I send birthday cards to people I love and care for, I give money to homeless people or people in need, I give my time to anyone if I can help them in any way possible. And I feel rewarded knowing that I have helped someone because it gives me so much joy.

| Happy People Have Passion | I have so many passions and put my heart and soul into everything I do, no matter what it is I want to do it to the best of my ability. Our passions are our strengths and we all need to learn to embrace them because believing in yourself is the first secret to success.

| Happy People Spend Time Alone | I love spending time alone. I love sitting in a quiet space meditating or writing in my Wiccan journal, it makes me so happy and once I'm done I always feel so calm and recharged. Spending time alone and doing something that you love is okay, and actually really good for your mental health.

| Happy People Are Positive | I've actually been told that I'm too positive, and I wonder how this can even be a thing? I try and always remain positive, even in negative situations, and look for the best in everything and everyone. I truly believe that people being happy for people who are happy is one of life's most magical things.

| Happy People Accept Their Faults | I, by-no-means think I am better than anyone else at all because I'm not. I have faults and flaws, but I love them because those are the things that make me original and unique. Once you've accepted your flaws, no-one then is able to use them against you. It's okay to be imperfect, that's what makes you so special.

With love, Alisha Valerie. x
