Remembering Chernobyl, 34 Years On...


AD | Hello my lovelies, happy Friday, I hope you're all having a wonderful start to your weekend! I wanted to share with you all today about something that I've never really seen any influencer share about before, and that is Chernobyl. This coming Sunday, April 26th 2020, will mark thirty-four years since the heartbreaking tragedy happened at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Ōkuma, Fukushima Prefecture.


| What Is Chernobyl? | Chernobyl was a nuclear accident that occurred on Saturday 26 April 1986, at the No. 4 nuclear reactor in the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, near the city of Pripyat in the north of the Ukrainian.

| What Happened In the Chernobyl Disaster? | The Chernobyl disaster is one of the worst accidents in the history of nuclear power. The Chernobyl accident happened when some workers were testing the safety of the reactor. Some of the devices that stopped the reactor from exploding were switched off. Then, there was a power surge; the reactor fell out of control and exploded.

| Is Chernobyl Still There? | Although Chernobyl is mostly a ghost town today, some people a small number of animals still live there, in houses marked with signs that read, "Owner of this house lives here". Workers on watch and administrative personnel of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone are also stationed in the city.

| About The Chernobyl TV Show | "Chernobyl" is a 2019 historical drama television miniseries produced by HBO in association with Sky UK. Created and written by Craig Mazin and directed by Johan Renck, the series revolves around the Chernobyl nuclear disaster of April 1986 and the unprecedented cleanup efforts that followed.

| My Thoughts on The Chernobyl TV Show | I adore the Cherboybl TV show so much, I love how much detail was in the TV show and how All of the actors and actresses done an amazing job at really portraying how much and how many people suffered through no fault of their own. It's just heartbreaking. I would highly recommend you checking this out if you love a good true-life drama to binge on.
