x | We give ourselves meaning. If you feel like life is meaningless, then that's your own fault. You need to look for the good in every day.
x | The perfect partner doesn't exist. Focus on finding someone who makes you happy, feel loved and has a lot of qualities that you like and the same values and build an amazing relationship.
x | Be romantic about the little things in life. Being thankful for the littlest things in your life will make you so grateful and also surround you with happiness and positivity every day.
x | It's not how hard your hit or fall down, it's how quick you get up and move forward. - Rocky Balboa.
x | Be a realist about the big things in life. Life isn't a movie, you need to have a place, have an artist's ambition but an engineer's mindset.
x | Every single person in your life is going to offend you, hurt you, upset you, break your heart, etc. Figure out who you can trust, who is loyal and who is there for you always.
x | Save your money. If you don't have a good credit score then no-one is going to trust you with money as you get older, this includes if you ever want to buy a home etc.
x | Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans. - John Lennon.
x | Life is a game. Find the games you want to play, learn the rules and find a way to be successful at the games you selected.
x | Everyone you love is going to pass away at some point, and you'll be left behind grieving and feeling low. It's okay to miss people but if it's affecting your mental health, please get help.
x | Everything ends. Youth, love, life, the book you have fallen in love with, your favourite TV show, but that's what makes them valuable. Cherish everything in your life - the big and the small.
x | Figure out a way to cope by getting help, and don't complain that nothing is going right for you.
I'd love to know your views and thoughts so please leave me a little comment of love below or get in touch with me on one of my social media pages? Sending you all so much love for a wonderful day x
With love, Alisha Valerie. x

I completely agree with these points. One thing I wish I'd known sooner is that friends come and go and that is ok. Sometimes we just drift apart and are interested in different thing. It doesn't mean we don't wish them well though.

Delete"Every single person in your life is going to offend you etc. Figure out who you can trust, who is loyal and who is there for you always." <-- I love this! We should definitely trust people more by their actions and not by their words, especially when we are young and a bit more naive.

DeleteI couldn't agree more with these hard truths. We have the ability to shape our lives, our decisions determine which path we take. Being grateful and romantic about the little things allows us to ultimately create a happy life.

DeleteSo many great points here. I think learning who you can trust is such a big one. And someone can hurt you and still be a valuable person in your life, as long as it's not a regular thing! x

ReplyDeleteNo really, growing up has been hard but all these lessons have been such a blessing. Learning to let go when need be, learning to take life one step at a time, learning to love again and again and not be afraid.

DeleteGreat advice! Honestly, the moment that I let go of the search for that 'perfect partner', I ended up meeting my husband. He's not perfect. I'm not perfect. We certainly aren't perfect together in our relationship. But we love each other and are willing to work on it and prioritize one another every day.

DeleteGreat tips here! I'm learning a lot about friendship these days (which is all the more important with what has been going on lately). I think it's important that we have people who are there to journey with us in life, who will help us and keep us accountable and encourage us, and also give us advice when we need it. They may not be a lot, but what's important is that we're there for each other when it counts.
