Hello August | 2019

Hello my darlings! As this blog post goes live I'm going to be on a birthday trip to Chester with my husband (hopefully) doing lots of exploring, shopping and generally having fun and making memories.

If you follow me on my Instagram then you'll know already that July started with me going along to a lot of press invites, and blog events which I am so thankful for - I had such a lovely start to the month and feel like I made a lot of new friends in the blogging world during these events. I was even invited to meet the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Peter Brennan, in Liverpool's Royal Liver Building but my favourite event of the month has to be at 200 Degree's Liverpool's Launch.

Also during July I had a really wonderful appointment with my gastroenterologist nurse and got a lot off my chest that I wanted to talk about and make him aware about. I am so excited that I am going to be sharing some upcoming news involving the amazing Aintree Hospital again soon in an upcoming article next month.

This month wasn't all fun and roses though and I spent the 22nd of July feeling very heartbroken, upset and numb as it has been a whole year without my beautiful perfect Nan was taken tragically to cancer. I visited my Nan's grave and then spent the rest of my day at home with my husband watching one of my Nan's favourite shows - Downton Abbey.

I'm finishing this blog post off on 29th July and as this blog post goes live I will be away with my husband for a birthday treat in Chester thanks to the Travelodge*. Of course, I will be sharing all about our trip soon but for now, check my Instagram for some Instasnaps of what we're up to!

I really hope everyone has had a really fabulous July and has an even better August. Do you have any plans for this month? How was your July? Let me know by leaving me a comment below. I'm sending you all so much love!

With love, Alisha Valerie. x

  15. Wow! That sounds awesome! I have tried to find blogger activities in my area but there is nothing, lol. Arkansas isn't a very bustling State. Hopefully when I move to Bouler, Colorado I will be able to interact with some more bloggers face to face :)

  23. It's great that you've been offered so many exciting opportunities this month! But I'm sorry to hear about it being your Nan's anniversary - I understand how horribly numb it can be as my Nan's anniversary is coming up soon.I'm sure watching one of your Nan's favourite shows was a great way to honour her and I bet she was there watching them with you! I hope you have a fantastic August!

  31. Really sorry to hear about you losing your nana to cancer. It always seems to be the people the most good that cancer takes away from us. My thoughts are with you and the whole family. As for my plans for the rest of August I got a networking party I'm checking out this coming Friday, which I've been excited about for weeks and got a few weddings I'm heading to.

Hopefully you're enjoying your time away your husband!
