AD | Hello my lovelies! Fairground adrenaline rush or bright lights and razzle-dazzle? The Blackpool South Promenade hotel* is located just off the main buzzing promenade of Blackpool, Britain's favourite seaside resort, just down the road from the iconic Blackpool Tower. There's fun on tap with Blackpool Pleasure Beach right on your doorstep and other popular attractions like the SeaLife Centre and Madame Tussauds which are just a short walk away along the famously illuminated promenade.
The Travelodge Blackpool South Promenade Hotel* located on Balmoral Road in South Shore Blackpool UK and is perfect for couples, families or groups and has everything that you may need. Our double room came with everything we needed including a comfy king size bed with a cosy 10.5 tog duvet and 4 plump pillows. Our room also had a TV with Freeview, a spacious desk and tea and coffee making facilities - sadly no dairy-free milk though! The on-suite bathroom had a shower with a set of fresh white towels and even hand, hair and body wash. WiFi was also free for the first thirty minutes or you could pay £3.00 for twenty-four hours - great price in my opinion!
Just like the Travelodge hotel, we stayed at during our Chester stay*, this hotel also has an on-site restaurant and bar which serves breakfast and evening meals during certain times, they even have some vegan and veggie options - perfect if you don't wanna leave the hotel after a long day out.
However, if you are someone who has disabilities or are in a wheelchair, like me, then I would NOT recommend visiting Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I had a horrible experience where the staff wanted me to pay £10.00 to go into the park but I wasn't able to go on any rides and they wouldn't sell me a wristband due to my disabilities. The staff members made me list my disabilities and asked why I was in a wheelchair in front of everyone else who was queuing up, I was left feeling upset and very embarrassed by everyone looking at me.
Thankfully, whilst in Blackpool we took a walk up to Blackpool's Coral Island* which is located at Blackpool's Central Promenade and I have to say we were so impressed as it really is the perfect day out all in one place! If you love arcades, rides and food then you'll love it in there and I highly recommend checking it out.
Apart from our bad experience at Blackpool Pleasure Beach we really enjoyed our little trip and it was loving seeing the Blackpool Illuminations, it made me feel like a little girl and it was so lovely to experience this for the first time with my husband who had never been before. I highly recommend booking a room with Travelodge* if you are travelling anytime in the future.
With love, Alisha Valerie. x
