Hello October | 2019

AD | Hello my lovelies, and a very happy and spooky October to you all! September seemed like it was over within the blink of an eye and Autumn time really kicked it when September started, which made me a little bit sad as I wanted to hang on to the Summertime for as long as I could - sadly that's just British weather. September was a really great month for me social media-wise as I was invited to a lot and got so many articles prepped for the next few months. Here's what I got up to...

During the beginning of September in the first week, my husband and I were sent to Lowton to review a room at the Travelodge - it was such a wonderful little trip and I would really recommend staying at this little hotel, you can read more about it here. Otherwise, I spend most of the beginning of the month doing lots of social media work and spending time at home with my husband.

During the middle of the month, I was gifted a ticket and invited to a "jam and chutney masterclass" at Notcutts Rivendell garden centre in Widnes - I learnt so much about making your own vegan homemade jam and chutney, I cannot wait to start making some for family members and friends!

September ended on a great note for me personally, thankfully, and I'm really looking forward to all of the plans that are coming up in October - keep your eyes peeled on my Instagram account for everything that I'm going to be up to. Starting with going to Blackpool, which I cannot wait for but more to come on that soon.

[  ] Do a Halloween Craft | I'm not too sure what craft I'm going to make for Halloween yet but I'll be sure to share everything on my Instagram page so make sure you're following me on there to see what I get up to.

[  ] Try a Pumpkin Recipe | I love anything pumpkin flavoured at this time of year and this year I've decided I'm going to introduce my husband to a wonderful bowl of pumpkin and sweet potato soup one day this month which will be my pumpkin recipe of the month.

[  ] Dress Up and Celebrate Halloween | I already know what my costume is going to be and I cannot wait to share it with you all - keep your eyes peeled!

How was your September? What did you get up to? Are you excited for October? Do you have anything planned? Are you making any Halloween crafts this year? Are you dressing up for Halloween? Let me know your thoughts and views by leaving me a comment below! I'm sending you all so much love for the month ahead!

With love, Alisha Valerie. x

  7. I'm not sure what I'm doing for Halloween this year.

I made pumpkin pie after carving pumpkins and my family said it was delicious. May have to do it again this year.

  8. For my September I finally figured out what was making me more unwell than I normally am.

As for October, I'm planning to turn a year older and celebrate that achievement

  11. My September was fairly quiet but I have lots planned for October already. I love getting dressed up for Halloween and (shameless plug) have a pumpkin try bake recipe popping up on my blog soon. 😊 As for crafts the Purple Pumpkin Blog has some great ideas for Autumn / Halloween.

  12. September definitely passed by so fast! I can't believe it's already October but I love Autumn for the fashion, halloween movies and general cosiness! Fingers crossed you get the halloween crafting and manage to make a pumpkin recipe too! Excited to see what your halloween costume is. Thanks for sharing x

  13. Okay, so I am one of those really few people who has never tried pumpkin. I don't know why, but it greatly disturbs me. I think my mentality is that it's only for decoration, not consumption. I know! It's weird. But I can't get myself to try it lol

  14. Great October goals dear. I really want to try a pumpkin pie. I can openly admit I've never tried anything that contains pumpkin or is pumpkin flavoured. I'm excited for this month, for many reasons. It's birthday season, I have a few city breaks planned and I adore autumn styling. Thanks for sharing beauty!

  20. It's really starting to feel like autumn now isn't. I'm a summer baby, but do love to indulge in a bit of Halloween celebrations too. We are moving to Reading at the end of the month, so I’m hoping it all goes smoothly (fingers crossed!). Helen xo
